Code Name Verity meets The Winner’s Curse in the GLASS ALLIANCE fantasy series.
“If Stalin’s son were a fighter pilot and fell in love with a Romanov…”

What can I expect from the GLASS ALLIANCE series?
A World Wars inspired world. Star-crossed love. Intergenerational feuds. Family rivalry. Siblings. Airplanes. Revolution. Politics. Shady characters. Dragons and unicorns (kind of). Airplane battles. Mountains. Horses. Guy friendships. Gal friendships. A masquerade. Secrets, secrets, secrets…
Are your books really based on the world wars?
Well… not exactly. World Wars-infused is definitely a more apt description, since I worked very hard to mix and match historical inspirations, ensuring this made-up world would have its own feel and flavour with no immediately recognizable parallels to our own. You won’t find any of the familiar political figures or ideologies associated with the Second World War (i.e. no Hitler, Allies vs. Axis, fascism, etc.). The geopolitics in Dark of the West more closely resemble those that led up to the First World War — feuding royals, declining empires, an arms race, and an assassination to spark it all. However, you will find shades of WWII in the technology, fashion, and military armaments. The fighter planes are all based on 1940s models, and the battles are inspired by real campaigns in Europe, North Africa, and the Pacific. I hope fellow history enthusiasts will enjoy spotting the subtle nods!
What are people saying about it?

“A healthy dose of backstabbing” (Evelyn Skye, New York Times bestselling author of The Crown’s Game)
(Okay, that last one had a few extra words, but it was worth it!)
I don’t like romance. Will I like your books?
Maybe. If you like airplanes and politics and war stuff!
I don’t like war stuff. Will I like your books?
Maybe. If you like forbidden romance and masquerades and a bit of kissing!
I like romance and war stuff.
Then I think you should definitely read Glass Alliance. But I’m a bit biased. 🙂
“DARK OF THE WEST takes all the best bits of romanticized 20th century Europe and streamlines it into a sexy, tightly-plotted, character-driven epic fantasy. Combining the tragedy of Hemingway’s lost generation, the glamor of Gatsby’s parties, the internecine conflict of WWI’s crumbling monarchies, the destructive power of WW2’s military technology, and the terrible ambition of fascism’s most fearless leaders, it centers intimately on the level of star-crossed love: a fighter pilot and a princess born to the two most powerful political families on the opposite sides of an imminent war.”
